This project shows how to enlarge an original house by adding a second floor and connecting the kitchen to the back garden. The owners also wanted built-in window seats for reading. The new staircase design became a sculptural space with a small desk below, an interior window to the office above, and a skylight bringing natural light to this center of the house.
